Orly - It's Not Rocket Science

Boa tarde!
Eu sei que não venho aqui há mais de um mês e lamento imenso por isso. A minha vida, assim mais ou menos de repente, deu uma voltinha que me alterou a voltas :P por isso tenho andado um pouquito mais ocupada do que o habitual. Aproveito para dizer que, possivelmente, os posts no blog se tornarão um nadinha mais espaçados, mas vou tentar ser um pouco mais assídua também. É nestas alturas que reparamos que temos um blog há quase 10 anos e o quão inconstante fomos ao longo dos mesmos. Eu sei que fui inconstante. Quando estou empregada deixo de ter a disponibilidade que tinha, quando estou desempregada chego a pôr um post todos os dias (por vezes até dois!), e agora empregada e com a minha própria casa... digamos que nem é só visitar o blog que se torna raro, é visitar até o computador :P Mas vou tentar mudar isso, ok? Aguentem-me, please!
Bem, tanta conversa e o importante vem agora! Trago uma cor fantástica que me foi oferecida pela querida KarenD numa das nossas muitas trocas. O blog dela é dos mais fixes e actualizados que já vi, não deixem de visitar :)
Trata-se do verniz It's Not Rocket Science da Orly. É um verniz com acabamento glass flecked, ou seja, parece que tem vidrinhos na fórmula. É de um verde primaveril lindo de chorar por mais, com reflexos dourados e prateados. Duas camadas deste baby e estamos prontas para a praia ;) Tempo de secagem normal e remoção um pouco mais trabalhosa do que o normal mas não tão mázinha como a de um glitter. Se tiverem a oportunidade de lhe deitar as mãos, nem pensem duas vezes!

I know I haven't come here for more than a month now and I am really sorry about it. My life gave a really big turn, more or less all of a sudden, and that mixed up all of my priorities :P that's why I have been a bit busier than usual. I can also tell you that possibly the posts on the blog will be a bit more spaced between each but I'll try to keep up a certain rythm . It's in these times that we realise that we have a blog for almost 10 years now and we have been very inconstant along them. I mean, I know I have always been like so. When I am employed I don't have the availability that I have when I'm not, when I am not employed I can reach one post a day (sometimes even two!), and now that I am employed and with a home to take care of... let's just say that it's not only the blog visits that become rare, it is to visit a computer as a matter of fact :P But I'll try to change that, ok? Bear with me, please!
Well, so much chit chat and the important thing comes now! I have an amazing colour to show you that was offered to me by sweet KarenD in one of our many swaps. Her blog is one of the coolest and most accurate I've ever seen, please, don't miss the chance to visit her :)
So this is It's Not Rocket Science by Orly. It is a glass flecked finish nail polish, which means its seems like it has little pieces of shattered glass in its formula. It's tone is of a very springy green to die for, with golden and silver reflexes. Two coats of this baby and we are good to go to the beach ;) Average drying time and a removal that requires a bit more work than usual but not as bad as the one of a glitter. If you ever have the chance to grab this bad boy, don't even think twice!

Illamasqua Scarab

Boa noite.
O tempo quente está a querer aparecer, mas eu vou mostrar-vos uma cor quentinha e super elegante. Uma cor fabulosa aliada a uma das minhas marcas preferidas de vernizes. Apresento-vos o Scarab da Illamasqua. Duas camadas desta beleza e uma de topcoat e temos este resultado :) E, já agora, Illamasqua dispensa quaisquer apresentações ;) Fantástica como sempre!

The warm weather is peeking on us, but I'm still going to show you a warm and super elegant colour. A fabulous colour allied to one of my favourite brands. I present you Scarab by Illamasqua. Two coats of this beauty and a coat of topcoat and the result is this :) And, by the way, Illamasqua doesn't need presentations ;) Fabulous as always!

Kiko Perfect Gel Duo

Boa tarde.
Na Kiko estão agora à venda uns duos de verniz, cor + brilho. Custam 7.90€ e trazem uma cor e o topcoat. A ideia é a de um verniz que nas unhas parece gel, tem uma duração mais prolongada e o brilho tem também o efeito de gel e é mais intenso. Ora cá fica o meu parecer ilustrado com fotos :)
Escolhi uma cor uma beca estranha para quando está a começar o tempo mais ameno, mas a verdade é que tenho a cor preta em falta no meu stash por isso foi a que adquiri :) Portanto, duas camadas de cor, esperei cerca de dois minutos entre aplicações (tal como diz na caixinha) e esperei cerca de 15 minutos antes de aplicar o brilho. O verniz só por si tem um bom brilho, mas com o topcoat aplicado ainda fica mais bonito! Faz lembrar gelinho nas unhas mas quanto à durabilidade não posso dizer nada porque só o apliquei há um dia (mas já arranjei e comi sapateiras com o verniz e aguentou-se perfeitamente!). Fiquei deveras surpreendida com a boa aplicação da cor, mas ainda mais com a do topcoat, tudo 5 estrelas! Isto porque sempre que um topcoat diz "brilho efeito gel", temos uma fórmula super espessa que cria bolhinhas como se não houvesse amanhã e, ainda por cima, nunca seca completamente! E aqui entra a outra surpresa agradável, o tempo de secagem. Cerca de 1 hora depois de ter terminado a manicure fui dormir e de manhã não tinha marcas nas unhas, fantástico! :D
Espero que com as outras cores seja assim também ;)

*Good afternoon.
In Kiko stores there are nail polish duos right now, colour + topcoat. They cost 7.90€ and there is one colour and one topcoat. The idea is the one of a nail polish that resembles gel, it has a longer durability on nails and the topcoat should have a gel effect too, with an intense shine. Well, here it is my opinion illustrated with photos of mine :)
I picked a colour that might be a bit "meh" now that the weather is becoming warmer, but the truth is there is a black missin on my stash so that's why I picked it up :) So, two coats of colour, waited two minutes between applications (just like it says on the little box) and I've waited about 15 minutes before applying the topcoat. The nail polish itself has a good shine but with that topcoat it gets even better! It does resemble gel on nails but I can't say much about the durability since I applied it only yesterday (but I did prepare and eat some spider crabs and the nail polish just stood there perfectly!). I was quite surprised with the great application of the colour, but I was even more delighted with the topcoat's, everything 5 stars! I say this because whenever a topcoat says "gel like shine", we have a gloopy thick formula that creates bubbles everywhere and, on top of that, they never dry completely! And that's where another surprise comes in, the drying time. About one hour after finishing my manicure I went to sleep and the today morning I didn't have any marks of sheets on my nail polish, great! :D I hope it will be the same with the other colours ;)

Catrice Berry Potter & Plumbledore

Boa noite.
Este é um dos vernizes da gama clássica actual da Catrice. Como fã incondicional de Harry Potter não pude deixar de comprá-lo. É o Berry Potter & Plumbledore, um verniz duocromático de base roxa com reflexos azul marinho. Nada de novo nem de extraordinário, mas o nome é super apetecível :P Duas camadas de verniz e sem topcoat. Aplicação, secagem e remoção o mais normais possível.
Espero que gostem. A última foto é assim um boom de cor, utilizei a função de "cores garridas" da minha máquina fotográfica e ficou algo de soberbo ;)

*Good evening.
This is one of the nail polishes from the actual classic line by Catrice. As an inconditional fan of Harry Potter I couldn't help but buy it. It's Berry Potter & Plumbledore, a duochromatic nail polish with a purple base colour and sea blue reflexes. Nothing new nor extraordinary but the name is just to die for :P Two coats and no topcoat. Application, drying time and removal were the most average possible. 
I hope you like it. The last photo is just like a boom of colour, I used the "bright colours" funtion of my camera and it turned out something fabulours ;)

Kiko Sugar Mat #641

Boa tarde! Agora que o tempo já se encontra menos agreste posso finalmente começar a mostrar cores mais mimosas e fofinhas, mais apropriadas para a Primavera (não que sejam inapropriadas para as estações frias, mas que ficam melhor com as brisas do tempo mais ameno, lá isso ficam!).
Aqui está o #641 Strawberry Pink da colecção Sugar Mat da Kiko (por acaso não tenho noção se ainda existe nalguma loja, mas penso que já não).
Duas camadas e fica fantástico! Sem topcoat porque achei-o realmente belo tal e qual como é :)

*Good afternoon! Now that the weather is a little less aggressive I can finally start to show you cuter and fresher colours, a bit more appropriate for Spring (not that they are inappropriate for cold weather but they do go better with the mild weather breezes, indeed!).
Well here it is #641 Strawberry Pink from Kiko's Sugar Mat collection (which I have no idea if it is still available, although my tendency is to think not).
Two coats of it and it is completely amazing! No topcoat because I thought it was beautiful just as is :)
