Review - Lush Ultrabland

Boa tarde!

Ontem fui à Lush do Amoreiras e a querida Kate perguntou-me se eu andava a fazer muitas reviews e, de facto, não tenho feito nenhumas! Mas tenho usado montes de produtos! :P Então, aproveitando a folguinha, decidi fazer uma review ao desmaquilhante da Lush - Ultrabland.

O Ultrabland é um desmaquilhante super suave e nada agressivo! O que seria de esperar visto que é feito apenas com ingredientes naturais e nutritivos para a pele, não há cá químicos abrasivos nem coisas do género! Tem como ingredientes principais: óleo de amêndoas, água de rosas, cera de abelhas, mel, extracto de lírios frescos e absoluto de rosas.

É o único desmaquilhante que não me faz arder os olhos! E só isso já vale o dinheiro ;) É um bom desmaquilhante, sem cheiro, e a sua textura é, no entanto, gordurosa, e eu não sei como isso afectará peles mais oleosas. A minha pele é seca, sensível mas oleosa na zona T e eu não notei alteração nenhuma na minha pele, não ficou mais oleosa nem mais seca nem fez reacções. O Ultrabalm limitou-se a fazer o seu trabalho: desmaquilhar suavemente. Não aconselho no entanto a usá-lo em maquilhagem à prova de água, creio que não retirará a maquilhagem.

O modo de usar é simples: espalha-se na cara como um hidratante e retira-se com algodão (se acharem que arranha um pouco a pele, façam como diz na embalagem e humedeçam um pouco o algodão). Aplica-se as vezes que for necessário. Eu, por exemplo, para retirar a máscara de pestanas, tinha de aplicar duas vezes nos olhos. Depois basta retirar a camada gordurosa que fica na pele, com um pouco de algodão embebido num tónico da vossa escolha. Podem, inclusivamente, simplesmente lavar a cara com água e com um sabão/gel/produto da vossa escolha. Ou até podem fazer como eu fazia às vezes, que não retirava essa camadinha de gordura quando achava que a minha pele estava a precisar de um boost de hidratação! 

Confesso que para pessoas que têm muita pressa para se desmaquilhar talvez este não seja o desmaquilhante mais apropriado pois ele é muito gentil. Mas para quem, como eu, sofre com ardor nos olhos quando se desmaquilha e tem a pele sensível, garanto-vos, vale cada cêntimo! :) Esta embalagem é das pequenas (45 gr.) e custa 8.95€. A embalagem grande tem 100 gr. e custa 17.95€. Eu voltarei a comprar, definitivamente! É gentil, suave, nutritivo e hidratante.

Yesterday I went to Amoreira's Lush store and dear Kate asked me if I had been writing a lot of reviews and, as a matter of fact, no I haven't been writing any reviews at all! But I've been using quite a few products though! :P So, enjoying my day-off, I decided to write a review on Lush's gentle cleanser - Ultrabland.

Ultrabland is a super soft and not at all abrasive cleanser! Which it was expectable since it's made only with natural and nourishing ingredients for our skin, there are no bad chemicals nor other things of that sort! It has as main ingredients: almond oil, rose water, beeswax, fresh lilly extract and rose absolute. 

This is actually the only cleanser that doesn't make my eyes burn like crazy! And only that makes it worth the money ;) It is a good cleanser, with no scent, and its texture is greasy though and I'm not sure of how that will affect people with oily skins. My skin is dry, sensitive but also greasy on the T area and I didn't notice any differences on it, it didn't get oilier neither drier and it also didn't give me any rashes. Ultrabalm just did its job: it softly cleansed my skin. I don't recommend it for waterproof make-up though because I don't think it will remove it anyway.

The way to use it is very simple: just apply it on your skin like if it is a moisturiser and then you clean it off with a piece of cotton (if you think it kind of scratches your skin, just use a piece of cotton slightly wet). You apply it as you need it. For example, I needed to apply it twice on my eyes to remove my mascara. It really depends on how much make up you are wearing. After that you only need to remove that greasy coat that lays on the skin, with a piece of cotton and your tonic of choice. You can also simply wash your face with water and soap/gel/product of your choice. Or you can even do what I did sometimes, which is leave that greasy coat on when I thought my skin needed a boost of hydration! 

I confess that for people who are in a hurry to get their make-up off maybe this is not the best choice because it's really gentle. But for those who, like me, suffer a lot with the burning eyes when cleansing the skin and for those with sensitive skin, I assure you, it's worth every penny! :) This container is the small one (45 gr.) and it costs 6.95£. The big container has 100 gr. and it costs 10.95£.

I'll definetely buy it again! It's gentle, soft, nourishing and moisturising.
