Catrice Cosmetics 420 Dirty Berry

*Following the swap I made with ritterbraten I had to experiment one of the nail polishes right away. Despite loving crackles firstly I had to try Dirty Berry by Catrice. It wasn’t included in the first swap because I thought it wouldn’t be the nail polish I would like to have and so I wanted to see what I had been missing and I can say now…. I was missing a lot! But now I have it and it’s pure joy! :D
I love holographic nail polishes and it was told to me that this one had a je ne sais quois of holo but it didn’t seem holo to me so I wasn’t convinced at all. So just after having and using it I realised it is a pseudo-holographic finish, because you can only capture its (too) subtle holographic effect on ONE angle!
The brush is relatively large which made the application great, the formula is also very good which helped the application, its creamy texture is just the right one and it gets opaque with two coats.
I think a matte topcoat would make this nail polish really tempting. I didn’t try it though. It’s a nail polish that has a lot of berry but nothing of dirty ;)

Risqué Cigarrete Colecção Pop 4 You *Risqué Cigarrete Pop 4 You Collection

*When I bought this nail polish I was stupefy looking at the wall of new Risqué nail polishes that there was in the store. There were about 3 or 4 new collections that I didn’t even know they existed. Well, thanks to the lack of money I had to go on with a very careful and detailed analysis between colours and this one, Risqué Cigarrete from the Pop 4 You collection, was one of the chosen ones. It’s a nail polish with no gloss, “fosco” like the Brazilians call them or simply just matte…. although I still think it has a satin finish.

The application was great for this kinda finish and it was opaque in 2 coats. The drying time was extraordinary! It was only a shame that the brush had a few thicker strings that kept on trying to ruin the application but in the end everything was ok ;) It’s a nail polish so beautiful in its own finish that I didn’t even try it with a topcoat to see how it goes (actually I don’t really like to try topcoat on matte, suede or satin nail polishes, it just doesn’t make sense!).

Manhattan 78T

*This nail polish was another jewel that I've won in the giveaway organized by ritterbraten who shows her manicures on her excellent blog!
It's a teal/deep blue jeans in colour. The application was amazing and it's opaque in 2 coats.
It's the only Manhattan nail polish I have and it is also the only nail polish of this colour that I have in my little stash. Great for Fall :D or Christmas, in my opinion.
Notice also that this is one of those colours that are very difficult to capture with the camera.

Sem topcoat e dentro de casa
*Without topcoat and indoors

*With topcoat (and probably the most colour accurate photo)

Luz natural do dia
*Natural day light

MNY Maybelline New York #265

*This was another beauty I won from the giveaway ritterbraten, the blogmistress from the excellent blog Das Experiment (beautiful nail in this blog, I have to say it...), organized.
It's a dark redrose (red+rose, who doesn't know this colour?) jelly base with scattered holographic microglitter. It's extremely glossy, I didn't use any topcoat on the photos I took and the gloss is astounding (and isn't this how a good jelly nail polish should be?? :P)! Application was very good, it was opaque in 2 coats but I had a third. I love this nail polish!

Ontem à noite... *Last night...

Taquicardia súbita (ou seja o batimento do meu coração, do nada, disparou);
Dificuldade em respirar;
Suores frios;
Dormência nos braços e mãos (começou no braço esquerdo, daí a minha preocupação);
Perda de força nas pernas;
Sensação de que ía desmaiar a qualquer altura;

*... around this time I was entering the E.R. where I stood until 5 something a.m. A couple of big friends of mine took me there (sorry for messing up the night :( ) 'cause I seriously thought I was having an heart attack, but after all it was an anxiety attack. We read so many stuff about it that, when my arms begun to get numb and my hands were curling in funny positions, I couldn't help but think it was indeed an heart attack. And it was legitim to think like this 'cause the symptoms are very similar to those of an heart attack and only an experienced doctor can diagnose what is happening to us as soon as he starts to hear the complaints. I am used to have these attacks but they usually don't go longer that 10 minutes. Another great friend taught me this trick with a glass of water: drink a bit a count to 10 calmly and it has been working... until yesterday. Yesterday, when I thought I had the situation under control, my arms begun to numb and then I seriously panicked
Symptoms I had:
Sudden tachycardia (which means my heart rythm went from 10 to 100 just like that);
Breathing difficulty;
Cold sweats;
Arms and hands numbness (it started on my left arm and that's where all my preocupation came from);
Loss of strength on my legs;
Fainting sensation;
And when I was already in the E.R. I begun to shake uncontrollably.

I need to learn more than the glass of water and counting to ten technique because, having in mind the treatment I was given in the E.R. (I was given something similar to Valium, I had blood analysis and an electrocardiogram), it could have been treated at home (it's just that I wasn't at home, it was the first time this was happening to me and I seriously thought it was an heart attack!).
Today I woke up really tired (which apparently is normal) and fearing it may happen again which is bad 'cause it can actually lead to another crisis like that and, besides not liking to interfer the E.R. with something that is not that critical, I really don't want to feel like that again!

So I just want to thank to my boyfriend who stood there with me despite being terribly tired, my mother and my sister (I woke them up and made them rush to the E.R. at this time :( ), to my friends to took me to the E.R. and to whom I ruined the night (which was supposed to be fun), to my friend who taught me the glass of water trick and to my friends who already saw me go through this sort of crisis and left what they were doing to make sure I was alright.

Does anyone know more than the glass of water trick?

Olhem só! O__O *Just look at this! O__O

LIVRA!
