Revlon #826 Perplex

Boa noite! Hoje tive um dia em grande mas algo cansativo (principalmente porque não costumo levantar-me cedo :P). No entanto não posso ir dormir nem descansar (óbvio... acho eu...) sem vous deixar imagens deste fabuloso verniz. É ele o #826 da Revlon, Perplex.
É um verniz com uma cor base castanha/cinzenta/lama com brilhinhos (vulgo shimmer) roxos. Este verniz poderia ser facilmente confundido com um verniz duocromático, mas a verdade é que o seu acabamento é shimmer. A aplicação é óptima, usei 2 camadas para cobrir completamente a unha e no final apliquei topcoat. O resultado é um verniz muito elegante apropriado maioritariamente para dias de Inverno ou noites de requinte ;)
Este verniz foi-me gentilmente oferecido pela KarenD, que tem umas unhas e um blog espectaculares!!!
Peço desculpa pelas minhas fotos não estarem grande coisa, mas este verniz é considerado um dos bons substitutos do Chanel Paradoxal. Em Portugal temos um bom substituto para esta cor também que é o andreia #110.

*Good evening! Today I had quite a day, very good but very tiring (mainly because I don't usually get up early :P). But I can't allow myself to go to bed without showing you some photos of this amazing nail polish. This is #826 by Revlon, Perplex.
It's a brown/grey/mud base with purple shimmer. This nail polish could be easily taken for a duochrome but the truth is this is a shimmer finish. The application is great, I used two coats to completely cover the nail and I used topcoat. The result is a very elegant nail polish so appropriate to Winter days but also suitable for exquisite nights ;)
This nail polish was kindly offered to me by KarenD who has amazing nails and blog!!!
I'm sorry for my photos which didn't capture the "real thing" of this nail polish. By the way, this nail polish is considered one good dupe for Chanel Paradoxal and in Portugal we also have a good substitute for that which is andreia #110.

Tudo arrumadinho! *All tidy up!

Olhem só o que a minha irmã comprou para ela arrumar os meus vernizes! Sim, foi isso mesmo. Ela comprou o armário para ela mas é para arrumar os meus vernizes XD
Assim está tudo muito melhor pois já não se suportava ver os frasquinhos aqui por cima das secretárias.
Este móvel foi comprado no Maxmat. É suposto ser uma sapateira. Custou cerca de 60€.
Estou contente com esta compra da minha irmã :P

This looks much better now because no one could stand my little bottles of coloured formulas here and there all over the secretaries.
This piece of furniture was bought in a Maxmat store. It's actually supposed to be a little closet for shoes. This costs around 60€.
I'm really happy with my sister's "haul" :P

Saldos #2 *Sales #2

Uns dias depois de ter feito as primeiras compras nos saldos voltei à The Body Shop e comprei mais estas coisinhas (só depois disso é que comprovei que a TBS andava a anhar forte com os preços dos saldos). Mas aqui ficam as belezinhas que comprei :) Adorei tudo o que comprei na loja TBS mas não volto a comprar lá.

*A few days after buying my first things on sales I came back to The Body Shop and I bought these beauties (only after this haul I realised that TBS was being very neglectful about the sales price, some products were sold at one price in one store and those same products had a different price at another store). I loved everything I bought at TBS but I will never buy from them again.

Bem, o champô da Aussie não foi comprado nos saldos, como devem calcular :P

Estée Lauder Duo

Vi no blog da MIA, o Make Down, que a revista VOGUE do mês de Fevereiro traz uma oferta de um duo (corrector+máscara de pestanas) da marca Estée Lauder e pedi logo ao meu namorado para me encontrar e trazer a revista. E ele assim fez. Na segunda-feira já tinha este miminho em casa. A revista custou, já com a oferta, 4.50€.
Ontem tive a oportunidade de usar os dois produtos na cara o dia inteiro e por isso já posso formular uma opinião.
Resume-se tudo numa palavra: adorei!!!!
O corrector é muito bom mesmo e resulta numa textura meio matte, aplica-se muito bem também e ao fim de 8 horas ainda estava óptimo!
A máscara de pestanas foi o meu preferido do duo. Não costumo gostar daquele tipo de escovinha mas como aplicou a máscara tal e qual como eu gosto, não tenho nada de negativo a apontar. É consideravelmente resistente a choro também :P
Se quiserem apanhar esta oportunidade corram às bancas! Espero que ainda apanhem este brinde pois vale muito a pena ;)

*I read in MIA's blog, Make Down, that February's portuguese VOGUE maganize comes along with an offer: a duo (concealer+mascara) by Estée Lauder. I had to ask my boyfriend to get me that magazine and so he did it. The magazine costs 4.50€ already with the offer.
So yesterday I was able to try the products on my face and wear them all day and now I have my opinion about them.
One word: looooove!!!!
The concealer is really really good, it has kind of a matte texture and it is very easy to apply. At the end of 8 hours it was still great!
But the mascara was my favourite. I don't usually like that type of brush but it applied the mascara just theway I like it and so I have nothing negative to point out. Oh and it is considerably resistant to tears :P
I don't know about other countries VOGUE, if they come along with this beauty of not, but if they do, run to get it, it is so much worth it! ;)

Aqui usei o corrector nos olhos e para algumas imperfeições no rosto, utilizei a máscara nas pestanas. Nos lábios pus o #101 do Boticário Linha Intense Longa Duração e pó compacto anti-bacteriano da linha Pure Skin da Essence.
*Here I'm using the concealer on my eyes and on some imperfections on my face, I'm wearing the mascara on my eyelashes. On my lips I have #101 by O Boticário from the line Intense Longa Duração (translation: Intense Long Lasting) and the compact powder by Essence from the line Pure Skin.

KIKO #256 Wild Rose Micro-Glitter

Boas noites!
Antes de me ir deitar deixo-vos fotos do #256 da KIKO, o Micro-Glitter Rosa Selvagem.
Aplicação óptima (tendo em conta que se trata de um rosa claro), remoção sem grandes problemas, lindo lindo! Nas fotos usei 2 camadas sem topcoat.

Before I go to sleep I want to show you photos of KIKO's #256 Wild Rose Micro-Glitter.
Great application (having in mind that this is a light pink), removal with no major problems, beautiful beautiful! In the photos I'm wearing 2 coats and no topcoat.

GOSH #569 Flamingo

Boa noite!
Hoje trago-vos o #569 Flamingo da GOSH para vocês verem! E tirarem as vossas conclusões quanto à cor, claro :P
É um rosa que eu chamaria de neon. Com uma grande particularidade: só por si termina com um brilho fenomenal! Não há cá topcoats para ninguém! É de um brilho lindo!
A aplicação é boa, nas fotos tenho duas camadas e, confesso, tenho topcoat. Isto porquê: só fotografei as unhas no dia seguinte após as ter pintado e ficaram com algumas imperfeições, mínimas, mas feias nas fotos. Mas garanto que não há muita diferença do seu brilho original.

Today I'll show you #569 Flamingo by GOSH! Please, feel free to take your own conclusions, of course :P
It's a pink to which I would call neon. But with a big particularity: it is very very shiny on its own! Really, it has a phenomenal glossy finish! No topcoat required! It really has an amazing shine!
The application is good, in the photos I'm wearing two coats and, I confess, I'm wearing topcoat. Why? Because I only photographed my nails one day after painting them and they got some imperfections, minimal, but ugly to be showned in photos. But I assured you the difference with or without topcoat it is not that critical.

Sally Hansen #220 Celeb City

Bom diaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Eheh! Eu raramente acordo a estas horas, mas decidi ir até ali a Lisboa ver se não me falta nada dos saldos XD
Ora, venho mostrar os primeiros raios mais brilhantes do dia :P Ok, venho mas é mostrar um verniz que a minha irmã me ofereceu no Natal, é da Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear (encontram-se nos hipermercados Continente) e é o #220 Celeb City. É um verniz de acabamento alumínio que é fácil de aplicar e não dá praticamente problema nenhum em nenhum aspecto! Nas fotos utilizei três camadas porque é daqueles vernizes que quantas mais camadas se dá mais intensifica o acabamento e eu queria algo assim, tal como ficou ^__^. Ao início da aplicação pensei seriamente que não iria comprar mais nenhum Sally Hansen mas quando acabei e o verniz secou... juro que nunca vi um verniz assim. O acabamento resulta super suave e brilhante! Não precisa de topcoat nem para dar brilho nem para suavizar a superfície da unha pois este alumínio termina lisinho lisinho!!! Adorei!

Right, so I'm here to show you the first brightest rays of light of the day :P Ok, actually I'm here to show you a nail polish that my sister offered me this Christmas which is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in #220 Celeb City. It's a nail polish with a foil finish that is really easy to apply and it's not a pain in any way! In the photos I used three coats because this is one of those nail polishes that the more coats you apply the more intense the finish becomes and I was looking for something just like this,just the way it turned out ^__^. At the beginning of the application I seriously thought I wouldn't buy any other Sally Hansen nail polish but when I finished and it dried completely... I swear I've never seen a nail polish like that. It finishes up super soft and super shiny! It doesn't need any topcoat for shine or to smooth out the surface of the nail because this turns out to be a very very very smooth foil!!! I loved it!

Essence Skyscraper (Urban Messages) vs. Essence The Dawn is Broken (Vampire's Love)

Sendo uma cor relativamente na moda neste Inverno, decidi fazer uma comparação entre estes dois cinzentos da mesma marca, a Essence. Vou então comparar o Skyscraper da edição limitada Urban Messages com o The Dawn is Broken da edição limitada Vampire´s Love.
Ambos têm uma cor base cinzenta com glitter azul escuro.
A base do Skyscraper é notavelmente mais clara do que a do The Dawn is Broken, assim como o seu glitter é mais leve. O do The Dawn is Broken é mais rugoso.
Para além de serem muito diferentes, o The Dawn is Broken é uma "maravilha" de uma camada apenas, portanto Skyscraper faz lá melhor! :P

*Being a very "fashionable" colour during this Winter I decided to make a comparison between these two greys by Essence. I will compare Skyscraper from LE Urban Messages and The Dawn is Broken from the LE Vampire's Love.
Both have a grey base colour packed with dark blue glitter.
Skyscraper's base is remarkably lighter than The Dawn is Broken's, such as its glitter which is smoother. The Dawn is Broken's is more granulated.
And, besides being very different nail polishes, The Dawn is Broken is a one coat wonder, so Skyscraper, try to top that! :P
