KIKO #352 & #354

Bom dia!
Hoje venho mostrar dois vernizes que já tenho há um tempinho (não muito porque são recentes :P). São da marca KIKO, da colecção Hologram Nail Lacquer.
São eles o #352 Nebula Esmeralda e o #354 Constelação Roxa.
Ambos os vernizes têm uma óptima aplicação. Ficam opacos com duas camadas e têm efeitos de cores incríveis! Deixo as fotos para confirmar :) e espero que gostem!

Good morning!
Today I will show you two nail polishes that I have for some time now (not much though because they're from a recent collection :P).
They're by KIKO from the Hologram Nail Lacquer collection.
So I've got #352 Emerald Nebula and #354 Constellation Purple.
Both nail polishes have a very good application. They cover the nail with two coats and these have amazing colour effects! I leave you the photos for confirmation :) and I hope you like!

KIKO #352 Nebula Esmeralda - Verniz multicromático de base verde/azul marinho com reflexos dourados e com brilhinhos prateados e dourados. Estou a usar três camadas na foto (mas cobre bem com duas) e não tenho topcoat. Este verniz teve um senão mas que desconfio ser culpa da base que estava a usar. Depois de pintado, no dia seguinte, começaram a aparecer bolsinhas de ar por baixo do verniz. Escusado será dizer que não durou muito tempo. Tentarei da próxima sem a base.
*KIKO #352 Emerald Nebula - Multichrome nail polish with a green/blue base with golden reflexes and silver and golden shimmer. I have three coats in the photos (but covers nicely with two) and I have no topcoat. This nail polish had a problem that I actually think it wasn't its fault but the base coat I was wearing. After painting my nails, the following day, little air sockets begun to appear under the nail polish. Needless to say it didn't last long. Next time I'll try without the base coat.

KIKO #354 Constelação Roxa - Verniz multicromático de base roxa/acastanhada/bordeaux cheia de brilhinhos dourados. A aplicação é muito boa, na foto estou a usar duas camadas sem topcoat. A remoção é um pouco nhónhó pois transforma as mãos numa praga de brilhinhos capaz de meter inveja a qualquer vampiro mais recente -_- Óptimo para os fãs de Team Edward ;) (não sou fã da série, tenho apenas conhecimentos... é impossível não os ter quando a nossa irmã segue a série).
KIKO #354 Constellation Purple - Multichrome nail polish with a purple/brownish/bordeaux base packed with golden shimmer. The application is very good, in the photos I have two coats and no topcoat. The removal can be a son of a handbag because it turns our hands in a plague of shimmer making any recent vampire green with envy -_- Great for Team Edward fans ;) (I'm not a fan of the series but I know some stuff... it's kinda impossible not to know when we have a sister that follows the thing). 

Para quem não sabe onde encontrar os nomes dos vernizes KIKO, estes só estão disponíveis no website da marca e as línguas disponíveis no site são apenas Italiano (recomendado); Espanhol; Francês e Alemão. Recomendo o Italiano pois todas as colecções já lá estão disponíveis (em espanhol por exemplo não aparece a colecção Hologram Nail Lacquer). Outra situação de notar no website da marca é que os nomes dos vernizes estão em duas línguas diferentes: para a versão Francesa e Italiana os nomes estão em Italiano, em Alemão e Espanhol os nomes aparecem em Inglês... portanto eu decidi traduzi-los para português visto que estava indecisa entre qual deles adoptar :P - Obrigado Rock-or-not!
Agradeço à Miss Verniz e à Gejba do blog Parokeets por me terem ajudado a descobrir onde estavam os nomes dos vernizes KIKO.
*For those who don't know where to find the names of KIKO nail polishes, these are only available at the brand's website and the languages available at the site are only Italian (recommended); Spanish; French and German. I recommend the Italian because all collections are already available there (in Spanish, for example, the Hologram Nail Lacquer collection isn't there). Another situation just for the records is that the site has the names of the polishes in two different languages: the Italian and French version have the names in Italian and the German and Spanish versions have the names in English... so I decided to translate them to Portuguese when writing in Portuguese and I use the English name when I write in English. Thank you Rock-or-not!

Essence Nail Art Twins Romeo & Julia

Está revelado o mistério da desconhecida Júlia deste par! A Annie do blog espectacular Polish This! ajudou-me a clarificar a situação.
Na Finlândia e na Alemenha (por exemplo) os nomes dos protagonistas desta história são Romeo e Julia (Julie em alemão pois o "e" no fim das palavras em alemão vale "a" - tive 3 anos de alemão no secundário e lembro-me disto).. Ora a marca é alemã, se não estou em erro, por isso, está desmitificada a cena. Para nós, americanos, ingleses e outros é Julieta ou Juliet, para finlandeses, alemães e provavelmente outros também é Julia ou Julie. Ufa!

*It's revealed the mistery behind the unknown Julia of ths pair! Annie from the amazing blog Polish This! helped me to clarify the situation.
In Finland and Germany (for example) the names of the starring characters of this story are called Romeo and Julia (Julie in German because the "e" placed at the end of words in German reads "uh" - I had 3 years of German back in secondary school and I remember this).. Well the brand is German if I'm not mistaken so the situation is dismistified. For Portuguese, English, American and others is Julieta or Juliet, for the Finnish, Germans and probably some others too is Julia or Julie. Thank the Lord!

Manicure de Natal 3 *Christmas manicure 3

Esta foi a última e mais recente manicure que usei. É natalícia!
Usei um verniz da marca My Label, que não tem número nem nome por isso chamei-lhe Pérola. Duas camadas aplicadas com cuidado pois o pincel é uma porcaria e é daqueles vernizes que podem fazer "carecadas" nas unhas. Este verniz tem um acabamento pérolado. Depois de seco apliquei uma camada do verniz Carlo di Roma #81, um glitter vermelho em base transparente mas avermelhada. Querem mais natalício do que isto? ;)

*This was the last and most recent manicure I've used. It's a Christmas one!
I used a nail polish by My Label which doesn't have a number or name so I called it Pearl. Two coats applied very carefully because the brush sucks and it's one of those polishes that can leave bald spots on the nails. This nail polish has a pearl finish. After it dried I applied a coat of Carlo di Roma #81, a red glitter on a reddish transparent base. Could it be any more Christmas-y? ;)

Essence Nail Art Twins #02 Romeo vs. Essence Nail Art Twins #02 Romeo (New)

Hoje tive a sorte de encontrar à venda o primeiro Romeo que saiu da Essence Nail Art Twins. A minha irmã encontrou-o :P e, obviamente, teve de o trazer com ela. Até porque eu fiz a observação de que o Romeo que eu tinha cá em casa não era igual ao que ela tinha na mão. Eu não fazia ideia de que a primeira versão do Romeo era diferente!
O 1.º Romeo é um verniz de acabamento metálico que cobre a unha bem com uma camada. O 2.º Romeo é um cinza claro de acabamento cremoso que precisa de duas camadas para ficar decente. São os dois cores muito lindas, mas tendo em conta que são para combinar com um outro verniz, neste caso o Julia, não sei se deveriam ou não ter mantido a primeira versão do Romeo.
A primeira versão saiu neste grupo:

*Today I was very fortunate to find the first Romeo by Essence Nail Art Twins for sale. Actually my sister found it :P and, obviously, she had to bring it with her. Also because I stated that the Romeo I had at home wasn't the same as the one she was holding. And I had no idea that the first version of Romeo was different!
The 1st Romeo is a metallic nail polish that covers really nice in one coat. The 2nd Romeo is a creamy light grey that needs at least two coats to look decent. They are both really pretty colours but, having in mind that they are supposed to be combined with another polish, in this case Julia, I'm not really sure if they should or shouldn't have kept the first version of Romeo.

Mas pelos vistos há algo de muito errado neste par pois para além de existirem dois Romeos não existe nenhuma Juliet mas sim uma Julia que não se sabe bem quem é... eu pelo menos não faço ideia o_O conheço a história Romeu e Julieta mas não conheço nenhuma Romeu e Júlia... mas enfim... deixo a diferença óbvia que existe nos dois homens (vernizes) do par (trio?).

*But, apparently, there is something very wrong with this pair because, besides the existence of two Romeos there is no Juliet but a Julia and we don't know exactly who she is... I mean at least I don't know who she is o_O I know the story of Romeo and Juliet but I don't recall a Romeo and Julia... anyways... here it is the obvious difference between the two men (nail polishes) of the couple (trio?).

Só agora é que reparei que nas fotos escrevi tudo em inglês. Para quem não souber:

Old Romeo = refiro-me ao primeiro Romeo que saiu.

New Romeo = refiro-me ao segundo Romeo que saiu, o mais recente.

Old Romeo with Julia = refiro-me ao primeiro Romeo com o verniz Julia por cima.

New Romeo with Julia = refiro-me ao segundo Romeo com o verniz Julia por cima.

Essence - Urban Messages

A minha irmã comprou-me também esta edição limitada da Essence e vi-me no dever de fazer os respectivos swatches da colecção.
São 5 vernizes, todos com acabamento "shimmer" - pois cada verniz está cheio de brilhinhos!
Não sei se captei muito bem a "mensagem urbana" transmitida, mas as cores são lindas e por isso aqui as partilho com vocês. Espero que gostem ^__^

*My sister also bought me this limited edition by Essence and I thought it was only fair to show the respective swatches of the collection.
This has a total of 5 nail polishes, all with a shimmer finish. These are full of shimmer!
I'm not sure if I got the "urban message" correctly but the colours are great and so I'm sharing them with you. I hope you like ^__^

#01 Street Styler - É uma base turquesa escura cheia de brilhinhos azuis e prateados. Muito boa aplicação! Na foto tenho duas camadas e não tenho topcoat.
*#01 Street Styler - It's a dark turquoise base full of blue and silver shimmer. Very good application! In the photos I'm wearing two coats and no topcoat.

#02 Skyscraper - Uma base cinzenta meio "taupe" com brilhinhos azuis e prateados. A fórmula deste verniz é um pouco espessa e por isso a aplicação é manhosa. Podemos ficar com aquelas "carecadas" nas unhas se não aplicarmos com cuidado. Nas fotos tenho três camadas (mas cobre bem com duas, foi por causa das "carecadas" que tive de aplicar três) e não tenho topcoat.
*#02 Skyscraper - A grey base, a bit "taupe", with blue and silver shimmer. The formula of this polish is a bit thick so the application can be tricky. We can get those bald spots if we don't handle this carefully. In the photos I have three coats (it covers in two coats but because of those bald spots I had to apply a third coat) and I have no topcoat.

#03 It Peace - Base avermelhada coral, cheia de brilhinhos azuis e roxos!!! Óptima aplicação! Cobre decentemente com duas camadas mas nas fotos decidi usar três para fazer justiça à cor. Não tenho topcoat nas fotos.
*#03 It Peace - reddish coral base filled with lots of blue and purple shimmer!!! Great application! It covers well with two coats but in the photos I have three just to make it fair on the colour. I don't have topcoat in the photos.

#04 Nightline - Base azul muito escura cheia de brilhinhos azuis! A aplicação foi óptima! Nas fotos tenho duas camadas de verniz sem topcoat.
*#04 Nightline - Very dark blue base with lots of blue shimmer! The application was great! In the photos I have two coats of nail polish and no topcoat.

#05 Wall of Fame - É possivelmente o verniz mais bonito da colecção. Base amarela pastel com brilhinhos amarelos. É o único verniz da colecção que não tem brilhinhos azuis. É também o mais difícil de aplicar. Fórmula algo espessa para uma cor pastel. As "carecadas" ainda são piores do que as do Skyscraper. No entanto perdoo estes senãos por ser o verniz mais lindo da colecção. Três camadas nas fotos (por causa das tais "carecadas", acredito que cubra bem com duas) e sem topcoat.
*#05 Wall of Fame - It's possibly the most beautiful nail polish of the collection. Yellow pastel base with yellow shimmer. It's the only nail polish of this collection that doesn't have blue shimmer. It is also the hardest to apply. The formula is a bit thick for a pastel colour. The bald spots are more flagrant than Skyscraper's. But I can forgive these little flaws just because it's the most gorgeous nail polish of the collection. Three coats in the photos (due to the bald spots, but I believe it cover nicely with two) and no topcoat.

Essence Colour&Go - #09 Get the Fever vs. #46 Wake Up!

Esta foi uma dúvida que me assolou quando retiraram os descontinuados da Essence Colour&Go e repuseram os próximos. Eu sabia que o Get the Fever era um dos que ía embora, mas não deixei de notar que "ele" lá continuava no expositor! A curiosidade foi maior e agarrei num para o analisar mais de perto. Reparei então que não se tratava do Get the Fever mas sim do Wake Up!
Tinha a certeza que eram iguais! Mas hoje comprei o Wake Up! para poder finalmente tirar as minhas conclusões.
São muito muito muito parecidos. À primeira vista são iguais. A "grande" diferença é apenas notável nos frascos. Acontece que o Wake Up! é o irmão gémeo-que-nasceu-por-último do Get the Fever. Têm ambos uma tonalidade laranja ligeiramente avermelhada muito forte! O Wake Up! é um nadinha mais vibrante do que o Get the Fever. Nas fotos pode não estar muito claro, e a verdade é que na realidade também não se nota muita diferença... precisei de estar a olhar para as unhas durante um bom tempo para reparar que existe apenas uma súbtil diferença na intensidade das tonalidades. O Wake Up! é um pouquinho mais forte do que o Get the Fever, mas se podem ser considerados "duplicados"? Sim, na minha opinião podem. Podíamos andar com umas unhas pintadas de Get the Fever e outras de Wake Up! Que ninguém ía dar por isso ;) Vejam vocês mesmos!

*This was a doubt I had when the stores took off the Essence Colour&Go nail polishes that were discontinued and replaced them with the new ones. I knew that Get the Fever was a discontinued one but I couldn't keep my eyes off the shelf and notice that "it" was still there! Curiosity took me over and I had to pick it up and observe it a little closer and better. That's when I found out that it wasn't Get the Fever but another one called Wake Up!
I was absolutely sure they were the same colour! But today I bought Wake Up! so I could finally get my own conclusions.
They are really really really close to each other. At a first look we can say they are equal. The "big" difference is only noticeable in the bottles. It happens that Wake Up! is the twin brother who-was-born-last of Get the Fever. They both have a very strong orange, slightly reddish, shade! Wake Up! is just a little bit more vibrant than Get the Fever. In the photos it may not be that clear but the truth is that in reality it's not very noticeable either... It took me a few minutes of staring at my nails to realise there is only a subtle difference of intensity between both colours. Wake Up! is just a little bit stronger than Get the Fever but can they be considered dupes? In my opinion, yes. We could walk around with some nails painted with Get the Fever and the others painted with Wake Up! that no one would tell the difference ;) Check it for yourselves!
