Essence - Urban Messages

A minha irmã comprou-me também esta edição limitada da Essence e vi-me no dever de fazer os respectivos swatches da colecção.
São 5 vernizes, todos com acabamento "shimmer" - pois cada verniz está cheio de brilhinhos!
Não sei se captei muito bem a "mensagem urbana" transmitida, mas as cores são lindas e por isso aqui as partilho com vocês. Espero que gostem ^__^

*My sister also bought me this limited edition by Essence and I thought it was only fair to show the respective swatches of the collection.
This has a total of 5 nail polishes, all with a shimmer finish. These are full of shimmer!
I'm not sure if I got the "urban message" correctly but the colours are great and so I'm sharing them with you. I hope you like ^__^

#01 Street Styler - É uma base turquesa escura cheia de brilhinhos azuis e prateados. Muito boa aplicação! Na foto tenho duas camadas e não tenho topcoat.
*#01 Street Styler - It's a dark turquoise base full of blue and silver shimmer. Very good application! In the photos I'm wearing two coats and no topcoat.

#02 Skyscraper - Uma base cinzenta meio "taupe" com brilhinhos azuis e prateados. A fórmula deste verniz é um pouco espessa e por isso a aplicação é manhosa. Podemos ficar com aquelas "carecadas" nas unhas se não aplicarmos com cuidado. Nas fotos tenho três camadas (mas cobre bem com duas, foi por causa das "carecadas" que tive de aplicar três) e não tenho topcoat.
*#02 Skyscraper - A grey base, a bit "taupe", with blue and silver shimmer. The formula of this polish is a bit thick so the application can be tricky. We can get those bald spots if we don't handle this carefully. In the photos I have three coats (it covers in two coats but because of those bald spots I had to apply a third coat) and I have no topcoat.

#03 It Peace - Base avermelhada coral, cheia de brilhinhos azuis e roxos!!! Óptima aplicação! Cobre decentemente com duas camadas mas nas fotos decidi usar três para fazer justiça à cor. Não tenho topcoat nas fotos.
*#03 It Peace - reddish coral base filled with lots of blue and purple shimmer!!! Great application! It covers well with two coats but in the photos I have three just to make it fair on the colour. I don't have topcoat in the photos.

#04 Nightline - Base azul muito escura cheia de brilhinhos azuis! A aplicação foi óptima! Nas fotos tenho duas camadas de verniz sem topcoat.
*#04 Nightline - Very dark blue base with lots of blue shimmer! The application was great! In the photos I have two coats of nail polish and no topcoat.

#05 Wall of Fame - É possivelmente o verniz mais bonito da colecção. Base amarela pastel com brilhinhos amarelos. É o único verniz da colecção que não tem brilhinhos azuis. É também o mais difícil de aplicar. Fórmula algo espessa para uma cor pastel. As "carecadas" ainda são piores do que as do Skyscraper. No entanto perdoo estes senãos por ser o verniz mais lindo da colecção. Três camadas nas fotos (por causa das tais "carecadas", acredito que cubra bem com duas) e sem topcoat.
*#05 Wall of Fame - It's possibly the most beautiful nail polish of the collection. Yellow pastel base with yellow shimmer. It's the only nail polish of this collection that doesn't have blue shimmer. It is also the hardest to apply. The formula is a bit thick for a pastel colour. The bald spots are more flagrant than Skyscraper's. But I can forgive these little flaws just because it's the most gorgeous nail polish of the collection. Three coats in the photos (due to the bald spots, but I believe it cover nicely with two) and no topcoat.

Essence Colour&Go - #09 Get the Fever vs. #46 Wake Up!

Esta foi uma dúvida que me assolou quando retiraram os descontinuados da Essence Colour&Go e repuseram os próximos. Eu sabia que o Get the Fever era um dos que ía embora, mas não deixei de notar que "ele" lá continuava no expositor! A curiosidade foi maior e agarrei num para o analisar mais de perto. Reparei então que não se tratava do Get the Fever mas sim do Wake Up!
Tinha a certeza que eram iguais! Mas hoje comprei o Wake Up! para poder finalmente tirar as minhas conclusões.
São muito muito muito parecidos. À primeira vista são iguais. A "grande" diferença é apenas notável nos frascos. Acontece que o Wake Up! é o irmão gémeo-que-nasceu-por-último do Get the Fever. Têm ambos uma tonalidade laranja ligeiramente avermelhada muito forte! O Wake Up! é um nadinha mais vibrante do que o Get the Fever. Nas fotos pode não estar muito claro, e a verdade é que na realidade também não se nota muita diferença... precisei de estar a olhar para as unhas durante um bom tempo para reparar que existe apenas uma súbtil diferença na intensidade das tonalidades. O Wake Up! é um pouquinho mais forte do que o Get the Fever, mas se podem ser considerados "duplicados"? Sim, na minha opinião podem. Podíamos andar com umas unhas pintadas de Get the Fever e outras de Wake Up! Que ninguém ía dar por isso ;) Vejam vocês mesmos!

*This was a doubt I had when the stores took off the Essence Colour&Go nail polishes that were discontinued and replaced them with the new ones. I knew that Get the Fever was a discontinued one but I couldn't keep my eyes off the shelf and notice that "it" was still there! Curiosity took me over and I had to pick it up and observe it a little closer and better. That's when I found out that it wasn't Get the Fever but another one called Wake Up!
I was absolutely sure they were the same colour! But today I bought Wake Up! so I could finally get my own conclusions.
They are really really really close to each other. At a first look we can say they are equal. The "big" difference is only noticeable in the bottles. It happens that Wake Up! is the twin brother who-was-born-last of Get the Fever. They both have a very strong orange, slightly reddish, shade! Wake Up! is just a little bit more vibrant than Get the Fever. In the photos it may not be that clear but the truth is that in reality it's not very noticeable either... It took me a few minutes of staring at my nails to realise there is only a subtle difference of intensity between both colours. Wake Up! is just a little bit stronger than Get the Fever but can they be considered dupes? In my opinion, yes. We could walk around with some nails painted with Get the Fever and the others painted with Wake Up! that no one would tell the difference ;) Check it for yourselves!

H&M Minnie+Mickey

Encontrei estes três fofinhos na H&M e não resisti a trazê-los :) O Natal este ano não vai dar para muito e por isso vou oferecendo uns miminhos de mim para mim. Ao preço que são tá-se bem (1.95€ cada - 14ml.).
São três vernizes que retratam o amor do Mickey e da Minnie (pelo que percebi). Os três vernizes têm uma aplicação muito boa e uma remoção também sem problemas, com excepção do glitter. E o tempo de secagem está dentro do típico. Espero que gostem. Eu gosto muito de todos e pensei que eram apenas mais três vernizes... ;)

*I found these three babies in an H&M store and I couldn't resist to bring them with me :) Christmas won't be so full this year so I've been offering myself these little sweet nothings. The price is not a big deal so it's cool (1.95€ each - 14ml.).
So this is three nail polishes that show the love of Mickey and Minnie (or at least that's what I understood). The three nail polishes have a very good application and a nice removal too, exception for the glitter, of course. And the drying time is pretty regular. I hope you like this. I like these pretties a lot and firstly I thought these were just another three nail polishes... ;)

Este é o Kiss Goodnight. É um verniz de base cremosa cinzenta muito escura com "shimmer" - brilhinhos - muito fino prateado e algumas partículas maiores e de outras cores (consigo detectar rosa e azulado). O acabamento deste verniz é "glass-flecked" pois parece que tem pedacinhos de vidro na fórmula. É daqueles vernizes que são muito mais interessantes na realidade do que as fotos mostram. Pode ser uma das maravilhas de uma camada, mas na foto tenho duas e não tenho topcoat.
*This is Kiss Goodnight. It's a very dark grey creme base with very fine silver shimmer and some other bigger particules of other colours (I can clearly detect pink and blue-ish). It's one of those nail polishes that are more interesting in live than the photos show. This has a glass-flecked finish. It can be a one coat wonder but on the photo I have two coats and no topcoat.

Apresento agora o Berry Love. Um meio-creme, meio-gelatinoso vermelho. Cobre bem com duas camadas (na foto nota-se bem a linha da unha mas na realidade não se nota praticamente nada) e tem um óptimo brilho só por si. Na foto tenho duas camadas e não tenho topcoat.
*Presenting now Berry Love. A half-creme, half-jelly red polish. It covers the nail with two coats (on the photos the nail line is quite visible but in reality it's not noticeable at all) and it has a very glossy finish on its own. In the photos I have two coats and no topcoat.

Finalmente mostro-vos o Confetti Kisses. É uma base transparente com glitter hexagonal e também outras partículas de glitter mais pequenas, ambos prateados. Duas camadas na foto e sem topcoat. Só pintei uma unha porque não estava na onda de glitter hoje (principalmente por causa da remoção). Apesar de não ser preciso "andar à pesca" do glitter maior, acho que com duas camadas fica mais bonito e não fica muito exagerado.
*Finally I'm showing you Confetti Kisses. It's a clear base with hexagonal glitter and also smaller glitter particules, both silver. Two coats and no topcoat in the photos. I only painted one nail because I was really not into glitter today (mainly because of the removal). Despite not needing to "fish" the bigger glitter I think this looks better with two coats. It's prettier and not exagerated at all.

China Glaze: Jolly Holly & Party Hearty

E isto é o que acontece quando o Natal está aí à porta (ena tanto acento seguido! -_-), quando eu estou em casa (o que é praticamente sempre) e quando se mistura o Jolly Holly com o Party Hearty. Dá nisto! Um show de cores! Ok... eu sei que maior parte de vocês já fez esta mistura no ano passado, mas eu não ^__^ por isso aqui está, mais uma loucura de Natal :P

*And this is what happens when Christmas is coming, when I'm at home (which is practically always) and when we mix Jolly Holly and Party Hearty. This is the result! A colours show! Ok... I know that most of you already tried this combo last year but I didn't ^__^ so here it is, another Christmas craziness :P

Natal, Natal! *Christmas, Christmas!

Já ando toda maluca pelas manicures de Natal. E depois não admira que tenha ataques de pânico com esta ansiedade toda -__-
Mas é verdade, já comecei as minhas manicures de Natal. Não tenho quase colecção nenhuma de vernizes de Natal.... aliás.... só tenho 3 vernizes de uma colecção de Natal que foi a do ano passado da China Glaze, lembram-se? O meu namorado ofereceu-me no Natal um mini pack com o Phat Santa, o Jolly Holly e o Party Hearty. Ora, mas eu tenho cores natalícias e então já ando doida. E a que fiz primeiro foi usando o Cherry da H&M e o Party Hearty da China Glaze (um dos meus vernizes preferidos de sempre :P).
Duas camadas sem falhas do Cherry e uma camada também óptima do Party Hearty, terminando com uma camada de topcoat. Já espalhei Natal pela casa... pois claro.... a árvore de Natal? Fi-la hoje! :)

I am already all crazy about Christmas manicures. No wonder I have panic attacks with all this anxiety -__-
But it's true, I have already started my Christmas manicures. I almost don't have any Christmas collection of nail polishes.... actually...... I only have 3 nail polishes of last year's China Glaze Christmas collection, remember? My boyfriend offered me a mini pack with Phat Santa, Jolly Holly and Party Hearty. But, come on, I have Christmas-y colours and so I am already so nuts about it. And the first manicure I've done was using H&M Cherry and China Glaze Party Hearty (one of my favourite nail polishes of all time :P).
Two flawless coats of Cherry and one great coat of Party Hearty on, finished with topcoat. I am already spreading Christmas all over the house.... of course... and the Christmas tree? I've done it today! :)
