Algumas pessoas têm dificuldades em distinguir os vários efeitos baços nos acabamentos de vernizes e por isso eu decidi deixar-vos a minha opinião e comparação dentro daqueles que conheço e com os quais estou familiarizada.
Ora eu distingo 4 tipos de vernizes baços - o verdadeiro matte, acetinado ou cetim, fosco ou seda e suede - e nas seguintes fotos podemos compará-los seguindo a minha teoria.
*Some people might have some trouble to distinguish the various mattified nail polishes' finishes and that's why I decided to share my opinion and comparison about the ones I know and I am used to work with.
Ok so I distinguish 4 types of mattified finishes - the real matte, satin, fosco (which is a portuguese word that could be translated as dull) or silk and suede - and we will be able to compare them on the following photos accordingly to my theory.
Em cada unha tenho um verniz diferente onde apenas dois têm o mesmo acabamento.
*On each nail I'm wearing a different nail polish and only two have the same finish.

Este verniz é um verniz da Claire's que eu considero que tem um acabamento matte. Não tem brilho absolutamente nenhum nem à sombra nem à luz. Parece um acabamento "seco".

This is a nail polish by Claire's that I consider having a matte finish. It has absolutely no gloss or shine at all wheter it is in the shades or light. It looks like a "dry" finish.
Este verniz já conhecem, é o Scorn da Illamasqua. Tem um acabamento acetinado e, dentro dos baços, é o que tem mais luminosidade. Ao olharmos para este acabamento lembramo-nos de lençóis lisinhos de cetim e não transmite ideia de relevo algum.
*This nail polish you already know for sure, it's Scorn by Illamasqua. It has a satin finish and, among the mattified finishes, is the one that transmits more light. You look at this finish and you think of plain satin sheets and it doesn't give the idea of any texture. It's absolutely plain.
Este verniz é o Lápis Lazuli da Risqué. Considero-o como tendo um acabamento fosco (tal como é definido no Brasil) pois tem mesmo o aspecto de um vidro embaciado, mas prefiro chamar-lhe um acabamento seda porque também me faz lembrar esse tecido, quer em aspecto quer em textura. É o único verniz baço no qual consigo sentir o seu relevo.
This nail polish is Lápis Lazuli by Risqué. I consider this one a fosco (just like Brasil named this finish) - dull - finish because it actually resembles a dull glass, althought I prefer to call this a silk finish because it also looks like the fabric itself and it does feel like it too! This is the only nail polish I can feel the finish when I touch it.
Este verniz é da marca Easy Paris e é um suede. Não preciso de explicar muito este acabamento. É algo entre o matte e cetim no que toca ao matificado mas é um suede porque contém partículas brilhantes - shimmer - e é isso que o distingue dos restantes matificados. Se estas cores não fossem matificadas seriam, muito provavelmente vernizes com acabamentos brilhantes, alumínio ou metálicos.
*This nail polish has a suede finish, the brand being Easy Paris. I don't need to explain a lot about this finish. It's something between the matte and satin when talking about the mattified formula but it is a suede because it contains very small shinning particules - shimmer - and that's what sets them apart from the other mattified finishes. If these colours weren't mattified they would probably be shimmer, foil or metallic finishes.
Este verniz é o Yes Love #551 e tem também um acabamento cetim. Liso com alguma luz.
*This nail polish is Yes Love #551 and it has also a satin finish. Plain with some light.
