Manicure de Passagem de Ano *My New Year's Eve mani

Duas camadas do verniz Lime Up! da Essence foram o suficiente para a minha passagem de ano, isto porque queria algo associado à esperança pois estava com um optimismo desmedido quanto a 2011 mas não queria nada elaborado.... o que para algumas pessoas pode parecer não fazer sentido absolutamente nenhum! :P
Com estas unhas transitei para 2011 :)

*Two coats of Lime Up! by Essence were enough for me on my new year's eve, this was because I wanted a colour related to hope 'cause I was feeling extremely optimistic about 2011 but I didn't want anything that elaborate... which may sound like a lot of non-sense for some people! :P
With these nails I transited to 2011 :)

 

Verniz cor-de-rosa vivo da Claire's *Hot Pink nail polish by Claire's

Este verniz já tem um bom tempinho de existência na minha casa, mas continua a "funcionar" :P algo que nunca percebi é o porquê da Claire's não nomear estes vernizes... tenho e já tive alguns e nunca os posso chamar pelo nome :S Este é um creme rosa vivo de super fácil aplicação e opaco em 2 camadas, tal como nas imagens ;) fotos algo antigas...

*This nail polish exists for quite a while in my house but it still "works" :P something I never understood is why Claire's doesn't give a name to these polishes... I have, and had, some of these nail polishes and I can never call them by their specific name :S This is a hot pink creme, super easy to apply and fully opaque in 2 coats just like in the photos ;) somewhat old these photos...

Ano Novo, Vida Nova... e últimas manicures de Natal *New Year, New Life... and last Christmas manicures

É neste pensamento que me estou a basear desde que começou o novo ano e posso desde já dizer que tenho conseguido controlar-me em muitos aspectos que não conseguia. Espero é conseguir fazê-lo também pelo ano fora :P comecei o ano com uma extrema sensação de optimismo. Tenho aquele feeling que este ano vai ser melhor do que os outros (desde que acabei a faculdade) apesar das medidas tomadas pelo governo português apontarem o contrário.
Ora enfim mais um ano que já lá vai mas as minhas manicures de Natal ainda não foram todas mostradas e como as faço todos os anos não faz sentido acumular as do ano que passou com as deste portanto aqui ficam as minhas 7.ª e 8.ª manicures do Natal de 2010.

*It's what I've been keeping in mind since this new year began and I can already tell you that I've been able to control myself in some aspects I couldn't control before. I just hope to keep doing this through the year too :P I've started this year with an extreme sensation of optimism. I have that feeling that this year will be better then those before (since I've finished University) despite the measures addopted by the portuguese government pointing the other way around.
So anyway another year gone but my Christmas manicures weren't all shown and as I do them every year I think it doesn't make much sense to accumulate last year's with this year's and so here I leave my 7th and 8th 2010 Christmas manicures.

Esta foi a manicure que usei na véspera de Natal... mas durou pouco tempo perfeita porque logo de seguida deu-se o jantar e como ainda não tinha secado bem esborratou toda! Ainda bem que tirei foto antes ;)
*This was the manicure I used on Christmas eve... but it didn't last too long because right after painting my nails we had to go to dinner and as it wasn't dry enough it smudgered all over! Gladly I took photos before ;)

  P.S.: Como escrevo o meu blog em duas línguas vou passar a usar cores diferentes numa e noutra língua. Como algumas expressões poderão ser iguais para as duas línguas (como por exemplo os nomes dos vernizes), destacarei essas expressões com a cor preta!
*P.S.: I write my blog in two languages so from now on I'm going to use different colours for each other. Sometimes some expressions may be the same for both languages (like the name of the nail polishes), in that case I'll point that out by writing those expressions in black!

Os meus presentes de Natal (muita foto) *My Christmas presents (pic heavy)

Provavelmente ninguém quer saber o que eu recebi mas eu sou uma autêntica viciada (leia-se criança) no Natal e adoro dar e receber presentes! Eu sou a Mãe Natal cá em casa visto que sou eu que me sento ao pé da árvore de Natal a atirar (sim, atirar mesmo...) os presentes correspondentes a cada pessoa (excepto os mais pesados talvez :P). Não recebi muito mas foi tudo especial :) e por especial não se entenda caro... não sou dada a muitos luxos e ainda sei distinguir quando vale a pena ou não gastar-se dinheiro por certas coisas e quem convive comigo sabe disso. Então consigo encontrar mais beleza em algo que me faz sorrir do que em algo que me faz chorar o dinheiro gasto (meu ou de outrém).
E aqui estão as coisinhas que recebi :D

*Probably no one cares about what I received on Christmas but I am such an addict (read child) for Christmas and I love to give and receive presents! Actually I am the Mrs. Claus of the house 'cause I'm always the one sitting beside the Christmas Tree throwing (yes, throwing...) the presents to each person (except the heavier maybe :P). I didn't receive a lot but everything was special :) by special I don't mean expensive... I'm not given to luxury and I can still say for myself when something is worth the money or not and people who live with me know that. So I can always find beauty in what makes me smile rather than on something that makes me cry over the money spent (my money or someone else's).
So here are the things I got :D

6.ª Manicure de Natal *6th Christmas Manicure

Esta manicure de Natal fi-la inspirada numa manicure de gel que tinha feito no dia anterior a uma colega de curso. Se com gel a consegui fazer, com verniz ainda melhor :D Como cor base usei o #456 da Yes Love; para as francesas usei o glitter vermelho #11 da Easy Paris; nos bonequinhos de neve usei o #283 da Ivsty para o corpo, um verniz vermelho da Claire's de pincél especial para o gorro e cachecol, um verniz laranja da Claire's para as mãos e nariz e o #284 da Ivsty para os olhos e botões. Para a bolinha na ponta do gorro usei um glitter solto hexagonal cor-de-rosa e depois juntei à manicure como me apeteceu umas pedrinhas prateadas, verdes e vermelhas. Fofinha!

*This manicure was inspired by one I've made of gel to a course mate the day before. I thought if I made it of gel it would be even easier to do it with nail polish :D As base colour I used #456 by Yes Love; for the french tips I used #11 red glitter by Easy Paris; on the little snowmen I used Ivsty's #283 for the body, a red nail polish by Claire's with the special brush for the scarf and hat, an orange nail polish by Claire's for the hands and nose and Ivsty's #284 for the eyes and buttons. Also for the little ball on top of the hat I used a pink hexagon loose glitter and then, just as I felt like, I added some rhinestones to the manicure, red, green and silver ones. Cute!

5.ª Manicure de Natal *5th Christmas Manicure

Para esta manicure utilizei um verniz da Claire's bèige matte como base, o #520 da Easy Paris para as francesas, o glitter dourado #7 da Marilyns para contorno dos anjinhos e para as linhas cruzadas e para o corpo dos anjinhos usei o #283 da Ivsty. Estas cores começam a ser cada vez mais usadas no Natal devido aos padrões de cores que envolvem anjos e querubins e por isso não hesitei em usá-las. Ficou bonito, acho eu ;)

*For this manicures I used a bèige matte Claire's nail polish as base colour, Easy Paris #520 for the french tips, #7 golden glitter by Marilyns for the lining of the angels and the crossed lines and for the body of the angels I used Ivsty's #283. These colours are being used more and more during Christmas due to the colour patterns around angels and cherubims and so I didn't hesitate in using them. I think it came out somewhat pretty ;)

4.ª Manicure de Natal *4th Christmas Manicure

Como tinha acabado de receber alguns vernizes pelo meu aniversário decidi usá-los para criar a minha 4.ª manicure de Natal. Demasiado simples para não se fazer. Usei o verniz vermelho da Claire's que tem um pincel especial que cobre praticamente a unha toda (duas camadas) e por cima usei um glitter topper da Essence, o 02 Julia. Assim ficou ^__^.

*I had just received a few nail polishes on my birthday and so I decided to use them to create my 4th Christmas manicure. Too simple to not do it. I used a red nail polish by Claire's which has a special brush that coveres almost the whole nail (two coats) and on top of it I used a glitter topper by Essence, the 02 Julia. This is how it came out ^__^.

P.S.: Adicionei mais algumas coisas ao giveaway. Não são vernizes e devo tê-las usado no máximo 2 ou 3 vezes. Estão devidamente limpas. É o único carimbo que tinha, aquele com a fadinha no meio e 3 caixinhas de nail art. Acho que é tudo.

*P.S.: I added some more things to my giveaway. Not nail polishes and I must have used those things 2 or 3 times maximum. They are clean. The things are the only nail stamp I had, the one with the little fairy in the middle and 3 little containers with nail art. I think it's all.
